Information Sources and Review Method
Last updated: 2026-10-06
This page explains how Nomad Check gathers, reviews and labels travel, immigration and related information.
Source Priority
Where available, Nomad Check prioritizes:
- Published laws and regulations
- Official immigration, foreign-affairs, tax, health and other government websites
- Embassies and consulates
- Official application portals, forms and instructions
- Reputable secondary material only when necessary to locate or explain a primary source
Third-party articles, search results and AI-generated text are not treated as authoritative legal sources.
Use of Automated Tools
Automated tools, including AI, may assist with:
- Locating candidate official sources
- Translating and summarizing source text
- Extracting criteria and dates
- Comparing changes between source versions
- Structuring information for display
Automated output can omit context or produce errors. It does not replace the underlying official source.
Review Status Labels
Nomad Check uses the following labels:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Source checked [date] | The cited source was accessed and checked for the displayed topic on that date |
| Needs review | The source or interpretation has not completed the current review process |
| Source unavailable | The cited source could not be opened or is no longer available |
| Based on your information | The output depends on information entered or selected by the user |
| User-provided | The displayed date or limit was entered or confirmed by the user, not checked by Nomad Check |
| Estimate | The value is calculated and may differ from an authority's determination |
Nomad Check does not use a stronger approval-style label unless a documented review process and the record for that exact topic support it.
Meaning of a Source-Check Date
A Source checked date:
- Applies only to the cited topic and source
- Does not establish that every relevant law, rule or exception was checked
- Does not establish that the source has remained unchanged
- Must come from a recorded source-check event, not a build date or general database timestamp
User-Provided Information
When Nomad Check displays Based on the stay limit you provided or the User-provided label, the date or limit came from the user. It is not converted into a source-checked fact merely because the app uses it in a calculation.
Update Approach
Nomad Check aims to review source material on a recurring basis, including automated monthly checks where available. This is an operating target, not a promise that every country or topic is reviewed each month.
Urgent changes can occur between scheduled reviews.
Professional Review
Unless expressly identified on a specific item, content is not reviewed or approved by a lawyer, licensed immigration professional, tax adviser or government authority.
Broken or Unavailable Sources
If a cited link cannot be opened, the app should display Source unavailable and provide a way to report the problem. A failed link does not convert the app's summary into an authoritative source.
Report an Error
If you find an outdated source, broken link or possible error, contact [email protected] and include:
- Country and screen
- The statement you believe is incorrect
- The official source, if available
- The date you accessed it
We may investigate reports, but we cannot provide personal legal advice or promise a response before a travel deadline.
