These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CHEN HSING KAI, the individual operator of Nomad Check ("Nomad Check," "we," "us" or "our"). They govern your use of the Nomad Check application and related services.

By taking the in-app action that accepts these Terms, creating a recoverable account, purchasing a subscription or continuing to use the service after valid notice of an applicable update, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nomad Check.

These Terms are drafted for the version offered through the United States, Japan and Taiwan storefronts.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may not use Nomad Check if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

2. What Nomad Check Provides

Nomad Check is a planning and information tool for travelers, remote workers and people considering visitor or digital-nomad routes. Features may include:

All features are currently free of charge. Paid features may be offered in the future; these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated before any purchase is offered.

3. No Legal, Immigration, Tax or Professional Advice

Nomad Check provides general planning information. It does not provide legal, immigration, tax, accounting, employment, medical or insurance advice.

Nomad Check is not a government agency, border authority, embassy, consulate, law firm or licensed immigration practice. Your use of the service does not create an attorney-client, adviser-client or fiduciary relationship.

Results such as eligible, conditional, visitor route, stay limit or similar language describe how the information you entered appears to compare with source data currently represented in the product. They are not an official determination, approval, authorization or assurance of any outcome.

Immigration laws, official interpretations, procedures and source websites may change without notice. Authorities may consider facts or documents that Nomad Check does not collect.

Before booking travel, applying for a visa, working, remaining in a country, changing status or making another consequential decision, verify the information directly with the responsible authority or a qualified professional.

4. Your Information and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Nomad Check does not inspect or authenticate your passport, visa, permit, employment arrangement, bank statement, tax status or supporting documents.

5. Accounts and Security

You may use a supported sign-in method or a guest mode where available; guest-mode data is stored only on your device. You are responsible for maintaining control of the email or platform account used to access Nomad Check.

Do not share authentication links or permit another person to access your account. Notify [email protected] if you believe your account is compromised.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or enforce these Terms.

6. Subscriptions

Nomad Check may offer auto-renewable monthly and annual subscriptions through the app store from which you downloaded Nomad Check.

Before purchase, the app will display:

The applicable app store processes charges, cancellations and refund requests under its then-current terms and policies. RevenueCat provides entitlement and purchase-status management but does not replace the store as payment processor.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the applicable store account before the renewal date shown by that store.

Deleting Nomad Check or deleting your Nomad Check account does not cancel a store subscription.

7. Free Trials and Offers

If a free trial or introductory offer is available, its eligibility, duration and price will be shown before purchase. Unless you cancel as described by the applicable store before the trial converts, the store may charge the displayed subscription price.

Offer eligibility is determined through the applicable store systems. We may change or stop offering trials prospectively, subject to applicable law and store rules.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel through the subscription settings of the app store used for purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal. Access ordinarily continues until the end of the active period displayed by that store, subject to the store's then-current rules.

Refund requests are handled under the policy of the store used for purchase. Nomad Check does not promise that a refund request will be approved.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Account Deletion

You may initiate account deletion in the app. Deletion removes the account and associated active-system data as described in the Privacy Policy and Account and Data Deletion page.

Deletion feedback is optional and is not a condition of deletion.

Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation.

Nomad Check, its original interface, software, branding, compilation and original explanatory content are owned by or licensed to the operator and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Government source materials and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Links or citations do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Subject to these Terms and applicable store usage rules, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service for personal planning purposes.

Platform-specific license provisions appear in the addendum presented with these Terms.

12. Third-Party Sources and Services

Nomad Check may link to government websites, embassies, consulates, app-store services and other external services. We do not control their availability, content, accessibility, security or privacy practices.

A link does not mean that the third party endorses Nomad Check or that Nomad Check vouches for the linked content.

13. Changes and Availability

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features for security, legal, technical or product reasons. We do not promise that every country, visa route, source or feature will always be available.

For an active paid subscription, we will provide any remedy required by applicable law or the rules of the store used for purchase.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NOMAD CHECK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE EXTENT THOSE WARRANTIES MAY LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT INFORMATION IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCES, OR THAT USING NOMAD CHECK WILL RESULT IN ENTRY, VISA APPROVAL, LAWFUL STAY, WORK AUTHORIZATION, TAX TREATMENT OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT OR PROFESSIONAL OUTCOME.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NOMAD CHECK AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, TRAVEL COSTS OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR NOMAD CHECK DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 100.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or other non-waivable rights where applicable.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute between you and Nomad Check are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory law in your place of residence provides otherwise.

Subject to any non-waivable consumer right, disputes shall be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction over the operator's principal place of business in Japan.

Before filing a claim, you and Nomad Check agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the matter by contacting [email protected].

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law or business. We will post the updated Terms and change the Last updated date. If a material change affects an active paid subscription or requires consent, we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. These Terms, the incorporated Legal Information Disclaimer, the applicable platform annex and any purchase terms displayed by the store form the agreement concerning Nomad Check.
